Drift in Architecture
Aim of the design was to enable the visitor to move through the building in an effortless flow. To do so, the visitor should be able to keep a point of reference but be unable to predict all functions and movements ahead.

Inspired by M.C. Eschers drawings of staircases among wich the 'penrose steps', I organized the design brief along huge concrete stairs that that winds round the central atrium. As the visitor never takes the same step twice and may have a hard time keeping track of the configuration of stairs. he might just get the feeling as if he is walking on one of Escher's infinite staircases.
